Anime Review: Godzilla Singular Point
2022 is the first year that I have finally decided to knuckle down and get involved with a thing I’d been meaning to do for quite some time. Well, two things – one being doing a convention panel, the other being taking part in Anime Secret Santa. I’ve been a long-time listener of the Reverse Thieves Podcast, so I’d heard about it through them – and more recently it has shifted to being organized by the All Geeks Considered podcast, with Kate & Alan of the Reverse Thieves still taking part. So, when the call came out for participants (and which was repeated on the Reverse Thieves Discord), I tossed my hat into the ring as a participant. So, I was tremendously pleased to see a series that I’d been meaning to watch for quite some time was among the three series put before me – specifically, Godzilla Singular Point.

Manga Review: The Rose of Versailles
Shojo manga has, historically, been underserved by American manga publishers – and when we have gotten shojo series, they have tended to be more conventional romance series – and not necessarily works in other genres (whether fantasy, science fiction, or historical fiction). However, some of the more influential works of the genre have fallen overlapped with other genres, and probably few more influential and more high profile than Riyoko Ikeda’s The Rose of Versailles. It’s also a manga that until fairly recently, hasn’t been available (legally) in its entirety in English.

Top 5 Favorite Games Announced at The Game Awards (2022)
The Game Awards have happened, and there were some fun performances (including a 63-year-old flutist from Venezuela, Pedro Eustache, who stole the show), and other great moments (Christopher Judge getting an award for Best Performance presented by Al Pacino – something that you usually don’t get outside of the Oscars or Emmys). Also, as always, there were a whole bunch of trailers and new game announcements. So, rather than picking apart the winners and who did or did not get robbed, I figure I can talk about some of the new games we got to see, and was excited about. As always, these are in no particular order.
