Manga Review: Men Who Created Gundam

I’d heard about the manga The Men Who Created Gundam a while ago from an article on TVTropes – and later had heard that the manga had been licensed by Denpa, though I found it was only available in a physical release, so that ended up serving as something of a hold-up on my picking up the series. However, at long last I’ve picked up up the omnibus release of the series.

Anime Review: Freedom

By all rights, an anime OVA series made for the anniversary of Cup Noodle feels like it should be bad. However, while Katsuhiro Otomo didn’t write Freedom, the fact that he got involved enough to get into character and mechanical designs should be a sign that this show could actually be pretty good. It turns out that not only is it good, but it’s good enough that I’d consider this something of a hidden gem.

My Quick Thoughts on Watching Motorsport

For the longest time, my appreciation for motorsport was through the perspective of video games – I’ve played plenty of racing games, from Gran Turismo and Rad Racer, and enjoyed them immensely. However, when it came to watching motorsport on TV – I never got into it. This past year, out of a desire to get caught up with some former Giant Bomb people (like Drew Scanlon), I started watching the Shift+F1 Podcast and watching more car races as they’ve been available, and want to give my thoughts on some of what I’ve watched.
